Isagro is especially active, through its affiliated company Isam S.r.l.based in Tarquinia, near Rome, in the environmental services sector. Isam operates in four main sectors. Weed control in non-agricultural contexts represents a key area of activity; the company has made significant investments in a special self-drawn unit for chemical treatment of weeds along railway lines.
Isam also carries out weed control in archaeological sites and for the industrial and petrochemical sectors. In forestry, its services range from reforestation to the improvement and protection of woodlands. Biodiversity conservation is another important activity. It includes the re-establishment of ecosystems and the conservation, introduction and reintroduction especially of endangered plant species.
Isam also creates and maintains public and private parks.
