Formed in 1992, Isagro SpA is the company at the head of a group that, in a little more than 10 years, has become a highly qualified operator at world level in the agrochemicals sector. Isagro is the only group in Italy that invests directly in innovation and the development of new molecules; is active in research, development, production, marketing and distribution of proprietary crop protection products. The Group is also present in the environmental services.

Some key facts: consolidated turnover 2008, € 213.2 million, thanks to worldwide operations in seventy-five countries with an EBITDA of € 24.4 million.

In 2008 research and development investments totalled 12% of proprietary products sales revenues.

In November 2003, Isagro was listed on the Italian Stock Exchange; one year later passed to the STAR segment of the Telematic Stock Market, dedicated to companies with specific requirements in terms of liquidity, transparency and corporate governance.

In December 2008, Isagro had 823 employees, about 10% of them engaged in research and development.

The policy of strategic alliances and acquisitions developed by Isagro in recent years has made it a “small global player” and one of the leaders in the Italian market where, in a joint venture with Sumitomo Chemical, it has a share of 12%.
